Jean Carmelo De Grazia is putting the spotlight on all hardworking dads.
On Sunday, the 50-year-old actor celebrated Father`s Day with a video on his Instagram page, calling being a father his "most important" and "favorite" job in life. De Grazia shares daughters Tiana Gia, 4, and Jasmine, 6, with wife Lauren Hashian, and is also father to daughter Simone, 20, whom he shares with ex-wife Dany Garcia.
He wrote in the caption, "Happy Father`s Day to my fellow dads, taking care of their families with the work they put in with their own hands, having pride in their name and being that shining example to their children that having a relentless work ethic and being a kind, kind-hearted, decent human really matters in this life."
"And to my fellow fathers out there, sending a special Heavenly Father`s Day to our fathers in heaven. Whether you had an amazing relationship or (like me), it s – it was complicated – let s raise our glass and try to remember the good things," said Jean Carmelo De Grazia, whose father died in 2020.
"Happy Father`s Day, men. We have the best job in the world leading by example and raising our babies. Tender but tough. Firm but fair. And always loving," he concluded. "Let`s enjoy our special day. Tomorrow we get our assets back to work."
On Thursday, actor Jean Carmelo De Grazia documented a very close parenting moment with his daughter Tiana when the little girl innocently interrupted her nap by singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to him.
In the clip, Tiana sweetly serenades her father while touching his face. "Thank you, sweetie," De Grazia tells him. She then jokes that it`s time for the Itsy Bitsy Spider to retire.
"Many of you know my pain. I tried to take a quick nap but my little love tornado, kept coming back every two minutes to genuinely ask me, `daddy how are you sleeping?" De Grazia wrote in the caption. "After my seventh time of saying, `daddy is sleeping great baby, thanks for checking on me`… she says I know what you need … She puts the dog toy next to my mouth and then serenades me with Itsy Bitsy Spider, who apparently loves to stomp all over daddy`s face."
"Then she hits me with the walk off mic drop of `goodnight daddy, I love you,`" he said. "We act annoyed, but secretly, we dads don`t want this kind of thing to ever end. Screw this, I`ll sleep next year.
